Decorating your home with tree branches from your yard is a great way to bring the outdoors inside and create a rustic, natural aesthetic. Oh, and it's free. It's also SO easy to do! Check out the examples below, collected from our Babble Panel of ladies. None of us on the Babble panel are professional decorators, and all of us are busy. Yet look how gorgeous these turned out!

Now it's your turn. Head out to your yard and start looking at those trees differently. With Spring in full swing and Summer around the corner, trees are looking beautiful and many need trimming anyway. You'll check a chore off your "yard-to-do list" AND create and aesthetically pleasing piece of home decor that will last days, even weeks! (For free!)
What you need: A few small branches and a vase.
How to do it: Trim up that tree - just a few branches will do. Clean off any dirt or debris (simply giving them a good shake outside usually does the trick). Place the branches in a vase as a centerpiece on your dining, console or coffee table, or even a bookshelf.
Bonus: You can decorate the branches with fairy lights, ribbons, or seasonal decorations like small ornaments (see pic above with the cute decorative eggs hanging on the branches).
Tip: You can spray paint the branches in metallics like gold or silver for a more elegant touch, or leave them natural for a rustic vibe.
