Warmer weather means it's time to blend up those cold, nutrient packed smoothies to kick off your day each morning. I asked the Babble Panel to share their most favorite smoothie recipes to get them going and pack a nutrient punch to start the day. Let's blend these babies up!

Shauna's Strawberry Banana Smoothie:

  • 1/2 cup strawberry (frozen or not)

  • 1/2 banana (frozen or not)

  • 2 dashes of cinnamon

  • 1 cup of ice (give or take depending if fruit is frozen)

  • 1/2-1 cup of almond milk

  • Huge handful of spinach

  • 2 tablespoons of peanut butter

  • Serving size for collagen protein 4 tablespoons)

Blend baby blend!

Erika's Smoothie:

  • 1 cup frozen berries (Costco's 3 Berry Blend)

  • 1 cup spinach (I buy the “container” at the grocery store or Costco and put it in my freezer - the leaves freeze perfectly and can be used in smoothies or eggs or whatever)

  • 1 cup liquid - I usually do some combo of almond milk (makes it creamy) and a splash of OJ - but you can use water or all juice…whatever sounds good

  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder

From here you can also add:

  • 1/4 C. oats

  • 1-2 tablespoons sliced almonds

  • Half an avocado

  • Peanut butter

  • Kind of whatever sounds good or depending on what you’re trying to achieve with your diet (ie adding avocado ups your fat, or adding oats will help keep you full).

I will meal prep on Sundays and make little sandwich baggies with 1 cup of the berries + 1 cup of spinach and throw those in my freezer for the week. Makes it easy in the morning to just dump those in my NutriBullet Blender, add milk and protein powder and go!

Anissa's Fruity Nutty Smoothie:

  • Banana

  • Frozen strawberries

  • Greek vanilla yogurt

  • Orange juice

  • Peanut butter

Blend and enjoy!

Brooke's Every Day Protein Shake:

  • One frozen banana

  • As much spinach as I can fit in the Blendtec

  • 2 scoops of chocolate protein powder (this is our family favorite)

  • 1 scoop of peanut butter powder

  • 1 scoop of flaxseed meal (optional)

  • 1 small scoop of chia seeds (optional)

  • 1 scoop of creatine (optional- I've been using this brand)

  • 1 scoop of collagen peptides (I use Vital Proteins)

  • Ice

  • 2 cups almond milk

  • Water

Makes enough for both me and hubs. I crave starting my day with this every day!

Shauna's Refreshing Smoothie:

  • 1 cup spinach

  • 1/2 cup mango/pineapple (frozen)

  • Half a lime

  • 5 slices of cucumber

  • 1-2 stalks of celery

  • 1 cup coconut water

  • 1-1/2 cup of ice

  • Collagen and/or protein is optional

Blend baby blend!
